Local firms back and bigger at the Hotel and Catering Show

Year on year the Hotel and Catering Show proves to be the venue of choice for the catering and hospitality industry in Dorset to launch new products, innovations and initiatives. With preparations now well under way for the 2011 show (15 and 16 March), the show organisers have confirmed that to date more than 50local businesses are set to return and exhibit following the success of this year’s event.

Leading businesses from the region signed up to attend include Country Fare, Wrights Dairies, and County Foods.

Fresh Produce Supplier, Country Fare, with its close ties to many local producers is able to supply a large range of local and seasonal products and as a result of  growth in the company and relocation to larger premises, Country Fare has expanded its product range to include dry goods, dairy and bakery lines.

Gavin Millward of Country Fare, has re-booked exhibition space for the sixth year running and says: “Despite the current turbulent economic climate, 2010 was a particularly great year for us at the show which highlights to us that the hospitality sector is continuing to invest using local and seasonal quality produce in order to set themselves apart from the competition and offer something more to meet customers’ changing demands. “

Returning to the show for the seventh year, Wrights Dairies, a family-run milk and dairy product distributor established in 1918, will showcase a range of the latest Dorset, Hampshire and the West Country cheeses and provide visitors with the opportunity to sample the cheeses and a range of other dairy related products.

Neil Pluck from Poole-based Wrights Dairies says: “Exhibiting at the show allows us not only to reach new business, but also gives us the opportunity to meet our customers away from the kitchen environment.  The show provides a fantastic marketing opportunity for businesses in the catering and hospitality supply chain and creates a platform to exhibit products and services to potential customers.”

County Foods, catering butchers, supplying top quality fresh meat products throughout the South returns for the fifth consecutive year and has had success in attracting a range of new contracts as a result of having a presence.  In 2011 County Foods will celebrate its success by increasing the size of their stand in order to incorporate a large display of fresh local meat products.

Doron Krips from County Foods adds: “The show enables us to see a large number of our regular customers and possible new contacts.  It is an excellent opportunity to discuss their individual requirements and introduce them to our new range of locally sourced meats.  The farmers in the South provide a fantastic range of Beef, Lamb, Pork and Poultry which we are proud to be able to offer and some of which will be on display on our stand.”
