Award winning firms signing up fast
Award-winning firms are signing up fast to attend and exhibit at the 2010 Hotel and Catering Show in order to shout about successes and reveal new products, services and initiatives to an audience of hoteliers, restaurateurs, chefs and caterers.
Taking place at the Bournemouth International Centre on 16 and 17 March, a host of winners of food, drink and catering accolades are lined up to visit the largest hospitality event on the south coast including The Italian Connection, Dorset Piddle Brewery, Purbeck Ice Cream and Coastline.
Winner of a coveted two gold star 2009 Great Taste Award for its Sicilian ‘MOAK’ expresso beans, The Italian Connection is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary at the 2010 Show and during its first decade of trading the firm has played a major part in the development of the growing UK speciality coffee market. In celebration of its anniversary, The Italian Connection has confirmed its involvement as official coffee sponsor at the 2010 Show, which will enable the firm to raise awareness of its award-winning coffee beans to the hospitality and catering audience.
As an importer and distributor of high quality Italian espresso machines and coffee beans, The Italian Connection is preparing to launch two new machines at the Show. The products set to be unveiled are the WegaConcept and the Il Valore. The WegaConcept is a new 2, 3 or 4-group environmentally-friendly coffee machine which guarantees energy savings of up to 47% in stand-by mode compared to traditional machines. The energy saving function within the WegaConcept machine distributes power only where necessary, therefore limiting the total power consumption. While working, the machine will offer an energy saving of at least 30%
The Il Valore is within a low price range and is a stainless steel handmade two steam arm espresso machine and retails from £1950.00 + VAT. The Italian Connection will be on-hand at the Show to demonstrate both products to visitors and offer tastings of its award-winning coffee beans.
Paul McDougall, sales manager of The Italian Connection, said:“Since establishing the company 10 years ago we have recognised the value a passionate and knowledgeable supplier can bring to a coffee outlet and as a result we have built up a strong customer base. We have been exhibiting at the Hotel and Catering Show for eight years and consider the Show to be a vital event for us to attend. The Show provides us with a platform in these tough economic times to shout about successes and reveal new products to a great mix of end users who visit, from hotels to guest houses and restaurants to larger food service operations.”
Hotel and Catering Show director, Anna Wallis, adds: “The Hotel and Catering Show brings together buyers and decision makers from food, drink and equipment from around the UK. Exhibitors have the unique opportunity to interact face to face with thousands of operators involved in every area of the hospitality, tourism and leisure. It’s a proven way to generate new business. The Hotel and Catering Show provides exhibitors with a host of opportunities including generating new sales, discovering new buyers, launching new products, meeting decision makers face to face, building brand loyalty and also staying ahead of the opposition.”
