Bookings up by 50% at Hotel and Catering Show

The organisers of the annual Hotel & Catering Show at the Bournemouth International Centre confirm that stand and sponsorship bookings are up by 50% on this time last year. 

Now in its 54th year, the Hotel & Catering Show represents the UK’s largest regional trade show for the hospitality industry and since the last event in March 2009, can confirm that over half of the space has been sold with sponsorship for all major features already secured, bucking current trends in the exhibition business.
Show Director Anna Wallis says “With eight months to go, we are in an amazingly strong position and have been working extremely hard to ensure that we are ahead of the game during these challenging times.”
Many of the exhibitors experienced a strong second quarter due to the good weather and high levels of tourist activity along the south coast.   Suppliers were contacted after the show by visitors who came to browse in March but picked the phone up in April to buy.
Anna adds “March 2010 may seem a long way off for some, but clearly there is a positive feeling that the economy will be better by then and because our exhibition delivered tangible, measurable results to our exhibitors this year, they want to be back again.”
Confirmed sponsors to date include Nestle Professional, Coastline Produce, Unilever KNORR and the Italian Connection.  
The Hotel and Catering Show, takes place on Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th March 2010 at the Bournemouth International Centre.   Stand space is selling fast and the 2010 show will boast the latest products, services, food and drink, tasting opportunities and inspirational ideas from some of the industry’s leading chefs and experts.
