Local firms back and bigger at the Hotel and Catering Show

Year on year the Hotel and Catering Show proves to be the venue of choice for the catering and hospitality industry in Dorset to launch new products, innovations and initiatives. With preparations now well under way for the 2011 show (15 and 16 March), the show organisers have confirmed that to date more than 50local businesses are set to return and exhibit following the success of this year’s event.

Top chefs set to cook up a storm at the Hotel and Catering Show

BBC top chef to cook at Hotel and Catering Show Dinner

Masterchef winner Steve Groves has revealed that he will be cooking at the prestigious Hotel and Catering Show Dinner on Tuesday 16th March 2010, which will take place at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel. Steve, former head chef at Dorset-based Branksome Beach restaurantand current Sous Chef at the exclusive London restaurant Launceston Place, was crowned champion of the popular BBC2 Masterchef: The Professionals show by judges Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux Jr and Gregg Wallace. He will demonstrate his culinary expertise and passion for cooking to guests attending the dinner and these will include professionals from across the hospitality, catering and leisure industries as well as other leading chefs such as Brain Turner, Mitch Tonks, Cyrus Todiwala MBE and Giles Thompson.

Now in its 54th year, the Hotel & Catering Show represents the UK’s largest regional trade show for the hospitality industry and since the last event in March 2009, can confirm that over half of the space has been sold with sponsorship for all major features already secured, bucking current trends in the exhibition business.
