Year on year the Hotel and Catering Show proves to be the venue of choice for the catering and hospitality industry in Dorset to launch new products, innovations and initiatives. With preparations now well under way for the 2011 show (15 and 16 March), the show organisers have confirmed that to date more than 50local businesses are set to return and exhibit following the success of this year’s event.

The 2010 Hotel and Catering Show has been declared a triumphant success by the catering and hospitality industry. Despite the tough trading conditions that continue to face the industry, hoteliers, restaurateurs, contract caterers and chefs all flocked to the Bournemouth International Centre on 16 and 17 March for a busy two days of networking and to source new products and ideas as well as meet a host of leading and celebrity chefs.

This year, top leading chefs including Brian Turner CBE and Cyrus Todiwala OBE will make appearances in the Cookery Theatre at the Hotel and Catering Show to demonstrate to visitors to the Show the delights of cooking with local and seasonal produce. BBC top chef to cook at Hotel and Catering Show Dinner

Masterchef winner Steve Groves has revealed that he will be cooking at the prestigious Hotel and Catering Show Dinner on Tuesday 16^th March 2010, which will take place at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel. Steve, former head chef at Dorset-based Branksome Beach restaurantand current Sous Chef at the exclusive London restaurant Launceston Place, was crowned champion of the popular BBC2 Masterchef: The Professionals show by judges Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux Jr and Gregg Wallace. He will demonstrate his culinary expertise and passion for cooking to guests attending the dinner and these will include professionals from across the hospitality, catering and leisure industries as well as other leading chefs such as Brain Turner, Mitch Tonks, Cyrus Todiwala MBE and Giles Thompson.
